Melanie Batenchuk
Vice President
As Vice President at Beekeeper Group, Melanie brings to the team 15 years of experience in public affairs and digital communications strategy. Before joining the leadership of a local cybersecurity recruiting startup in 2014, she spent four years at Beekeeper Group serving in multiple roles and, eventually, as Vice President over the firm’s automotive sector business. Melanie has spent time working on Capitol Hill, at the trade association level and in a social media agency at the cusp of the modern digital era.
Melanie earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in communications. As an automotive journalist, she served on the board and as a two-term President of the Washington Automotive Press Association (WAPA) from 2012 through 2016. Melanie also held a Board Director seat and oversaw the rebranding of the prestigious Women in Government Relations (WGR) organization in 2012 and 2013.
In her free time, Melanie enjoys playing music with friends, training in various sports activities, or somehow otherwise challenging herself to grow and learn.
