National Association for Music Education

The Challenge

The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) represents over 57,000 music educators nationwide. Their tireless efforts ensure that access to music education remains a key part of the core curriculum for schoolchildren in grades K-12 and beyond, especially in schools receiving Title I funding. Beekeeper Group partnered with NAfME to help develop and standardize a toolkit of advocacy materials to be adapted at both the state and federal levels.

The Approach & Solution

Beekeeper Group began with an in-depth listening session to discuss their vision and pain points. We also conducted a creative workshop to determine their needs and goals for their advocates and the overall organization. This led to:

  • A series of social media graphics for advocates to use.
  • Marketing materials for the client to utilize in promotional activities.
  • An editable PowerPoint template and a branded Title I factsheet for stakeholders to use when presenting about the impact of music education and Title I funding.
  • A chart showcasing the relationship between different stakeholders.

The Results

The new advocacy materials have been distributed to advocates and music educators at the state and local levels. The goal was to make customizable and easy-to-edit assets, especially as many of NAfME’s advocates are experienced music educators and beginner advocates. Since delivering the branded products, NAfME has distributed them to their network of advocates for conference use, webinar presentation, virtual/in-person events, as they spotlight the importance of Title I funding.

Our team is incredibly thankful for all of Beekeeper’s support as we navigate the design process for our advocacy materials.
