We are a Finalist for the 2026 PRWeek Awards!

We are absolutely buzzing about this news. Beekeeper Group is a finalist for PRWeek’s Outstanding Public Affairs Agency award! This is a huge honor, and we are so proud of the Beekeeper Group team and so grateful for everyone in our network that has contributed to our success. In 2014, Beekeeper Group won PRWeek’s Outstanding Boutique Agency award; being considered for the Public Affairs Agency award a decade later and capping off our 15th year as a company feels kismet. Read our full announcement and view a special video treat here.

Beekeeper Group’s New Chief of Staff, Lauren Tyler

Beekeeper Group is thrilled to welcome Lauren Tyler as our new Chief of Staff. Lauren joins us from Adfero, where she served as Chief of Staff and played a central role in scaling the firm’s operations, strengthening cross-team strategy, and supporting some of its most high-impact public affairs work. At Beekeeper, Lauren will lead firmwide coordination, build the infrastructure behind our expanding portfolio, and drive the Hive’s next wave of growth. You can learn more about Lauren and read her Q&A chat with Managing Partner Alex Dickinson here.

We will be hosting a welcome happy hour for Lauren on January 21, so save the date and stay tuned for more details!

Oh the Places We’ve Been…

The Bees have been buzzing near and far for some exciting client projects this year. Check out our map to see all the places we’ve been!

  • Local News, USA – Alex and a team of Bees traveled nationwide for Press Forward, visiting Miami, Philadelphia, Wichita, Akron, Lancaster, Tucson, Atlanta, Denver, and Charlotte to uncover what communities need from their local news, then brought those insights back on the road through presentations and briefings that helped shape the national conversation.
  • Austin, TX – Bees Judy and Cat set up a cozy booth experience for Amazon at the Texas Tribune Festival. The booth featured products from local Texas small businesses, and guests could enjoy free paletas while chatting with the small business owners.
  • Charleston, WV – Cam and Steven visited the Mountain State with America’s Credit Unions for the inaugural West Virginia Credit Union League Advocacy Bootcamp. They presented on best practices for integrating social media into your advocacy toolkit and even got an after-hours tour of the state capitol building from Delegate Andy Shamblin.
  • Palm Springs, CA – The road trip with America’s Credit Unions continued, as Steven also joined the American Association of Credit Union Leagues for its annual Winter Meeting, where credit union leaders nationwide joined forces to prepare for an election year with CUVote, ACU’s voter information hub.
  • Minneapolis, MN – Cam went back to his Midwestern roots to support the Health Care Alliance for Patient Safety at Optometry’s Meeting, where we designed a booth to help recruit new advocates and encourage the best and brightest in the optometry profession to take action in support of the Contact Lens Prescription Verification Modernization Act.
  • New York, NY – Judy and Steven joined the Center for Audit Quality at BFD, hosted by Axios, for a summit where finance, venture capital, and the auditing profession combined to talk about the importance of trust in the digital age.
  • Dallas, TX – Natalia attended the APCIA Advocacy Planning Conference. She gained insights into the property and casualty industry’s current top policy issues and the anticipated legislative landscape for 2026 at both the state and federal levels.
  • Boston, MA – Natalia led a video project at the AONL Conference in April. The work featured top Nurse Leaders in Advocacy members discussing the value and impact of their advocacy efforts.

The Future of Grassroots Advocacy

Something big is in the works! Early next year, Beekeeper Group will release a grassroots advocacy report of insights to help advocacy practitioners shape their strategy and better accomplish their advocacy goals. This report includes data from our own public opinion survey research on participation in grassroots advocacy, what advocacy tactics are most successful with participants, and the perception of grassroots advocacy.

As a part of the launch of the report, we are bringing back our Ask ‘Bee’ Anything series! Ask ‘Bee’ Anything is Beekeeper Group’s Q&A series, where you can have the opportunity to ask a member of the Beekeeper Group team anything about their dedicated topic. We will be bringing our ABA series back this February with four new ABA topics, including our grassroots advocacy research report. We’ll have more details for you in the new year, so if you’d like to be in the loop, sign up for our announcement list.
